Introduction:  Why Employ an Agent?

Do you ever feel like the resume you submitted to a company never actually made it to the appropriate person?  Most likely the hiring manager, the most important person to review your resume, never even saw it.  Well, it is often because HR departments do not possess the appropriate knowledge to differentiate between qualified and unqualified applicants especially for highly technical jobs.  The best companies rely heavily on hiring agents with expertise in these fields to bring in appropriately qualified people.  Often the jobs are never even posted and companies routinely use agents to find the most qualified candidates.   In addition an agent can often find you the best job, help you with the presentation of your resume and get you the best salary offer and even in some cases where appropriate they will help you in negotiating such benefits like hiring bonuses.
