GeneBio and Bruker Daltonics Expand Existing Collaboration with Agreement
for the Distribution of Phenyx MS Software Platform

Geneva, Switzerland February 3, 2005 - Geneva Bioinformatics (GeneBio)
S.A. today announced the signing of a multi-year partnership agreement with
Bruker Daltonics focused on GeneBios latest product release, Phenyx, the
state-of-the-art protein identification platform. According to the
agreement, Bruker Daltonics will incorporate Phenyx into its software
portfolio and distribute globally a version of the platform specifically
optimized for Bruker Daltonics mass spectrometers.

GeneBios Phenyx is a software platform for the identification and
characterization of proteins and peptides from mass spectrometry data.
Developed by GeneBio in collaboration with the Swiss Institute of
Bioinformatics (SIB) and incorporating the true probabilistic and flexible
scoring system OLAV, Phenyx is specifically designed to meet the concurrent
demands of high-throughput mass spectrometry data analysis and dynamic high
quality results assessment. End-users performing proteomics analysis can
benefit from Phenyxs many features, including tailored scoring for specific
mass spectrometers as well as end users MS experimental set-ups, solid
architecture available in multiple environments and inherent database access
to support complex workflows, thereby maximizing the pertinence of their
protein analysis.

This collaboration continues a relationship that stretches back several
years with another of our products, said Nasri Nahas, CEO of GeneBio. This
collaboration with one of the market leaders in the field of mass
spectrometry instrumentation is a sign of our continued commitment to
provide scientists with unparalleled bioinformatics solutions for their
proteomics research. Bruker Daltonics confidence in Phenyx is due to both
the expertise of GeneBio and the capabilities of the product itself. We
expect Phenyx to have a great impact on the proteomics market in the months
and years to come.

Per the agreement, GeneBio and Bruker Daltonics will also collaborate to
enhance Phenyxs functionality and further optimize the platform for a
diverse array of Bruker Daltonics mass spectrometers and workflows. Bruker
Daltonics will offer Phenyx as an option in its ProteinScape* software
platform in order to help proteomics customers achieve an even greater level
of accuracy and success. This reflects both companies desire to give
customers the ability to access the best solutions for their needs.

We want our customers to have the best possible software tools available
when they use our MS instruments, said Dr. Herbert Thiele, Director of
Bioinformatics of Bruker Daltonics. Phenyx was tested on different Bruker
Daltonics mass spectrometers and in different experimental set-ups, and was
shown to be both reliable and accurate under diverse situations; we were
very pleased with the results. The integration of Phenyx offers a software
platform optimized for our systems, thereby allowing our Phenyx customers
the accurate and pertinent results they expect from a leader in mass
spectrometry.

GeneBio will be available at the ABRF 2005 meeting in Savannah, Georgia from
5 8 February to answer questions and demonstrate Phenyx. For more
